The Book of Mormon is TRUE!

Casey & I had the opportunity to take an Evidences of the Book of Mormon class this semester and tonight was the last class. We watched part of this talk by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and I would just like to add my testimony to his that the Book of Mormon is TRUE!

Happy Easter! & a quick update..

First of all, Happy Easter everyone! We hope your Easter has been good to you and that you have enjoyed reflecting on our Savior's life & resurrection. I woke up to a cute little scavenger hunt made by Casey...he wrote me a note explaining that he caught the Easter Bunny and stole his map before he kicked him out of our house...haha he is too cute right!? He is gonna be a cute dad someday! The cute note he left right outside our door for me to find in the morning :) I began with this map and then found various clues to lead me to the next spot. At the last hiding place there was a TON of candy! I was being kind of a party pooper cause I wanted Casey to tell me where to find everything, but it was still fun! As for the update...life has been kinda nuts lately. We are moving in less than 2 weeks now. Casey's job was supposed to transfer down to Ogden with us, but his employer laid him off on Wednesday :( so needless to say he has been spending all of his time down in Kaysville looking for jobs. He had an interview on Friday for an assistant general manager of a Cafe Zupas restaurant and we should know if he got that job on Wednesday. We are crossing our fingers! I am also trying to find jobs down there as well...so we are staying busy! This coming up week is my last week of practicum and I should be finding out where I am student teaching and what grades I am teaching on Friday! I am so excited! I can't wait to see what our next step is! It's times like these that I am extra thankful for the law of tithing and the blessings that are promised if you stay faithful with paying tithing. I am also extra thankful for the temple and the ability to go there and feel some peace when life is a little crazy!

  2. I only have 2 more weeks of practicum left...Level 3 kinda flew by!
  3. The Zumba instructor makes all the difference!

Spring Break # 2 & Apartment...

Yes, it is true, I am spoiled and got 2 Spring Break's this year. Since I started practicum before the kids had spring break, I got to have their spring break too since i'm done with school except for finishing practicum & finals. There is something about spring break that I find interesting...no matter when it is or how many of them you have, it always goes by WAY too fast! I got to go to Boise with my mother in law, sister in law Amy, and nephew Peyton for part of the week. It was really fun to be able to go up with them and visit some family! I got to see my 3 cute little nephews and even got to spend a day and evening with them! I just love my nephews! I could seriously go on and on about them all day long! They're just too cute. Probably the cutest I have ever met! Emerson & Bennett got their tonsils out today though, so they were pretty sad and not feeling so hot. I was sad for them. I am in Pocatello now for the rest of the week/weekend because I get to go dress shopping with Aubri on Saturday (Can't wait! So excited she is getting married!), and one of my really good friends from elementary/middle/high/college school Daniel is getting married Saturday, so we have their reception to go to as well. Casey played basketball with Daniel in middle school, so it will be fun to go to his reception for both of us. I am extremely bored tonight because everyone is in bed...they all have work/school tomorrow, so I am just hanging out here by myself. In other news... we are moving in less than a month now! Whoa crazy! We heard back from that apartment we liked in Layton/Kaysville area and we got one of their apartments! I am glad we finally found a place to live in when we get down there! Also, I should find out where I am student teaching and what grades i'm teaching at the end of this month! I am just ready to know! I'm a little nervous to move and student teach. It's kinda scary for me. I have to teach a science unit next week and well I am kinda freaking out! I feel like I am not smart enough in science to teach it. Oh well right? It's all a learning experience! Hopefully I can pull it off!

Retail Therapy...

Lately I have really been feeling like I need some retail therapy! It's totally horrible! I know our life shouldn't be defined by THINGS, and mine isn't, but sometimes a girl just needs some new stuff! So instead of buying all of these things that I want, I am going to blog about them and why I think I need/want them...maybe that will cure me...hmm...ya right! :) 1st want: Rock Revival Jeans! Okay now before you think I am crazy and wanting to indulge in extremely expensive jeans, I have wanted a pair of Rock Revival Jeans for over a year! Haven't we all wanted that PERFECT pair of jeans? When Casey worked at the Buckle I tried them on and fell in love! My grandma gave me money to get myself some of them for my birthday, but my problem is that they NEVER have my size in them! I am waiting patiently and won't spend that jean money until I have my perfect pair of Rock Revivals! 2nd want: Victoria's Secret Zebra Swimming Suit! If you know me you know that I love Zebra things! So naturally I want this swimsuit! Plus I am going to be spending many days this summer at the pool with my mother in law, sister in law, and cute nephew! So it's not like I just want this for no reason! It would actually get used! :) Isn't it fabulous!? 3rd and final want: Zumba leggings and Zumba sneakers! There are legitimate reasons for wanting these as well (well maybe not the leggings...I just think that those are cute!). But as far as the sneakers go, I actually do need them! I do Zumba at least twice a week and every time I go my feet KILL me. I talked to my Zumba instructor and she mentioned that there are Zumba specific tennis shoes out there, and I like these ones! They also come with 5 different shoe laces, so they can be bright neon colors if I want! Did I do a good job at justifying why I want these things? Haha probably not, but I wanted someone to know why I want these things...just for fun! I promise I am not this materialistic, but sometimes a girl needs some retail therapy!
