Just a Quick Update!
Well not much has been going on in our lives out of the ordinary, but I figured I would post a quick little update on the past few weeks or so...
School is in full swing now and we are busier than ever! It seems like we hardly ever see each other during the week because we are always at school/work and doing homework when we aren't somewhere else! It is truly crazy!
I started my practicum this week in 2nd grade and I am loving it so far! My teacher has been so great to allow me to participate in the classroom, so I have been enjoying it a lot. It makes me excited for the day that I have my own classroom. It is so great being in my program. All of those years of generals are worth it now because I get to be doing what I love now! :) I have SO much reading though! I read more than I do anything else it feels like, but I am enjoying school none the less.
Casey is still planning on going to UVU next year to study to be an EMT/Firefighter. The nice thing is I can student teach down in the American Fork/Orem area, so once May comes around we will be saying farewell to Logan. Kinda sad, but I think it will be good for us to move on and begin a new chapter in our lives.
We have officially been married for 2 months now and it has been the most fabulous two months of my life :)Casey is such an amazing husband and he is so selfless. He is all about me and what I want/need. I just love him. Marrying Casey is the best decision I ever made!
We have been to 2 Aggie Football games and I still LOVE football! We won one and lost one... I am looking forward to the BYU game in 2 weeks.. I think it will be a good game. Casey and I are in a friendly little competition for NFL football. We make predictions on what teams will win Sunday night football.. haha it's kinda like March Madness, but it is fun! We enjoy sports and the friendly competition it brings!
Cute story about Casey :
This Thursday I had a relief society activity and I was debating on whether or not I wanted to go. I had been at practicum all day and had class after, so I was pretty beat. At the activity we were supposed to have a display describing us and I was thinking I needed to put it together... I walk in to our apartment after class and Casey had my little display all set up for me and had left me these BEAUTIFUL hot pink lilies (my favorite flower), and a candy bar. It's the small little things he does that just makes me love him even more. He is so fabulous! :)
Well that's about it.. hope I didn't bore you with this long post!

$0.32 dinner, kitchen aid, & First Day of School!
A few weeks ago Casey & I wanted to go out to eat and he had a gift card to Chili's for $5 and I have one that I thought had $5 on it as well, so we figured Chili's was a good choice... when the waiter brought us our receipt the total was only $0.32! My gift card ended up having $25 on it, so we only had to pay $5 with the tip! My grandma always gives us gift cards for Christmas, and I LOVE them! It's so nice to be able to go to dinner and not have to pay for it! Best idea she has ever come up with :)
We got a Kitchen Aid mixer from Grandma Arlene for our wedding and used it for the first time the other day! Oh I love it! I have wanted one for a while and am so happy we have one now! Grandma has had hers for 40 years and it still works like the day she bought it, so I am so glad we have one now too!
Today was the first day of school! I still have one more class in like 45 minutes, but I figured I would post about it real quick... I went to orientation for Level 2 this morning and I am so excited to get started! I am so excited that I am in my program now and can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Only 3 more semesters including student teaching and I am DONE! It's kinda crazy to say I'm a senior again! I'm the old lady on campus now! Kinda weird!!! Level 2 is going to be great though because I know a lot of girls from previous education classes that I have really loved being in class with, so it is going to be GREAT! The first few weeks I am going to be bored because we don't start observing until September 14th, but once I start observing I will be EXTRA busy!
I won't be working for America Reads this year :( since I am so busy with school this year I won't be able to be at my job the necessary hours unfortunately! I am keeping my eye out for another job I can do, but for now Casey is working full time at Qwest which I am so thankful for! He is also doing 2 online classes and a night math class this semester, so he will be busy as well! It's going to be great to have a study buddy though! Casey is also looking into becoming an EMT/Firefighter, so after I get done with school we might be moving down to the Orem area so that he can go to UVU and enroll in their fire academy! That's just some of the exciting stuff happening in our lives right now! :)

Date night, Bear Lake, Patience & ONE MONTH!
Casey took me on a date Friday night! :) He took me to dinner at Elements (the restaurant he proposed at) and then we went mini golfing and watched Hope Floats at home! Casey is such a great hubby! He really takes care of me and makes sure that I stay happy :) We have been married a whole month today! Pretty crazy right!? Sometimes it seems a lot longer than that, but it's still kinda crazy to think that we have been married for a month already! It's been a great month! :)
Some pictures of our Golf date :)
We went to our first ward activity yesterday! We went to Bear Lake and played in the lake and boated for a little while and then headed to our high councilman's cabin in Bear Lake for dinner! It was a lot of fun :) We were able to meet a lot of people and Casey played pool with a few of the members in our ward! We like our new ward a lot. Casey played basketball with some of the guys yesterday and loved it and I am going to go to a cooking activity on Tuesday night with my new friend Ashley that I met last week because we were both new :) we have felt really welcome in our ward and are excited to be involved in it this year and hope we get callings soon! :)
Bear Lake Pics :)
Casey and I have started reading a different talk from the conference Ensign every Sunday and committing to strive harder to do something based off of the talk. Last week I picked President Uchtdorf's talk on Patience from the priesthood session because I had heard it was so good. Since it was about patience, that night in our prayers I asked for us to have more patience this week...well don't ask for something you don't want! Haha... Casey had a few days where he was in bumper to bumper traffic on his way to work, I got my social security card on a day that I couldn't go get my license renewed and can't renew it until school starts ( I was hoping to have it all done before school so that changing my name at school isn't hard.. that was I started out as Ashley King, but it's okaY!), and to top off the patience this week... Yesterday after Casey got done playing ball his battery was dead in his jeep, so we had to take it in to have it looked at.. we were planning on heading up to Bear Lake right after that, but 2 of my tires were flat, so we had to take them in to be looked at. The Les Schwab guy told us that my tires were so worn out that we had to replace the tires... so we ended up having to get 4 new tires on the car as well as a new battery in the jeeP! On the bright side we got 70,000 mile tires put on my car, so they should last a little longer than the 30,000 mile ones I had before, and I had a little bit of a warranty on the tires , so they weren't as expensive.. all in all it was an okay experience. It definitely tried our patience though because we wanted to be in Bear Lake and not spending TONS of money on cars!
But all is well in the King household! I get to go meet the boys I will be babysitting for the next 2 weeks in an hour or so, so that will be exciting! I am grateful that I have this job for the next few weeks to help us get our books and stuff ready for school! Only 2 weeks until school starts! KINDA CRAZY!

A few random pictures...
We were able to attend my best friend Lyndsay's sealing to her husband Heath :) It was absolutely beautiful! They were sealed in the Twin Falls Temple on July 24th. It was really great for Casey & I to be able to go because we had just been sealed 9 days earlier, so we were able to experience that ordinance again. It was a really beautiful sealing. Thanks so much Lyndsay & Heath for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
Casey & I at Lyndsay and Heath's wedding!
Isn't she GORGEOUS!? :)
We had our final reception in Pocatello on July 31st and it was beautiful! All 3 of our events were so great! Our parents and grandparents worked so hard to make them just what we wanted and we couldn't be more grateful for that! Thank you so much for all that you did for us family! The wedding wouldn't have been the same without you and all you did!
Pictures from the Poky Reception :)
We were so blessed to have so many people come to our wedding and different events and in the process we got a TON of gifts! We have loved all of them! Yesterday Casey & I got to go shopping with our gift cards! It was so fun to be able to go and buy cute things for our house and not stress about paying for them! LOVED IT!!
THE LOOT FROM THE SHOPPING SPREE :)
We went to our new ward today! We are attending a married student ward in Logan for at least the next year until I graduate... if all goes as planned we will be moving to the Farmington area in May and I will do my student teaching in Davis County, but that is just what we would like to do... it all depends on my program and different things, so we will see! There were SO many babies in our ward! It was crazy! We did meet another new couple and made friends with them which was great! I also met another girl who is brand new married like us, so that will be fun to have them around! We have a ward activity Saturday at Bear Lake & I am way excited to be able to go to that and have fun with the new ward and Casey! Look forward to pictures, etc. to come! :)

OUR NEW BLOG :)
So we finally gave in and decided we would go for the generic web address... we tried so hard to come up with the CUTE names, but everyone had taken them already. We decided to just use casey and ashley king for our web address and then name the blog Once Upon A Time... There lived A King & Queen. We thought it was pretty cute!
This blog is going to be about Casey & I and our many adventures we will have as a married couple! I'm really excited about it :) More posts to come SOON!
