Favorite Aunt Status :)

So something exciting that has happened as of late... I am pretty sure I am my nephew Peyton's favorite aunt. Now this wouldn't be such a huge deal except for the fact that about 6 weeks ago he wouldn't even look at me! After lots of days of swimming and playing we are FINALLY friends. :) He even says my name sometimes. Yes, I am a proud aunt! My 4 nephews just make my life complete... and we have another niece/nephew on the way (BOY OR GIRL? Not sure yet...since it's a King it's probably a BOY, but I hope for a GIRL). This is about the most exciting thing that has happened to me lately. I know....my life is SO cool :)

Exciting happenings in the life of the Kings :)

Well it's been a little while since I posted, so I figured I would do a quick update. Summer is slowly making it's way here, so I have been going swimming with my mother in law, sister in law Amy, and nephew Peyton whenever it is warm. I have totally been loving it :) I am excited for this next week because it is supposed to be warm almost EVERY DAY! Yahoo! Lots of pool time for me=TAN! :) Casey and I got callings in our new ward! I am the choir director and Casey is the young mens secretary! I have been a choir director before, and I will admit I kind of threw a fit and was very angry when I was called to do it again. I just kept wondering why I had to do this calling AGAIN. It took me a few days to get over it...I read my scriptures and a conference talk and was basically chastised, so I decided to buck up and make the most of it. Haha I know it's ridiculous that a 22 year old would throw a fit like a 2 year old, but it's true. I did. Yesterday we got a call from Aaron & Crystal (Brother & Sister in law). They are in China and will be coming home very soon! They called to give us some exciting news....WE ARE GOING TO BE AN AUNT AND UNCLE AGAIN! YAY! I am so excited! I LOVE being an aunt. Plus hopefully the new baby will help to curb some of the baby hunger I have been getting lately. It's just crazy how much I want a baby sometimes, but for now I am good with being the favorite aunt instead. :) Sorry I don't ever post pictures...ever since the theft of our beloved camera I just haven't been good at taking pictures anymore. I just need to get a nice camera and get back into it. Maybe sometime soon. :)

Yay for a job!

After a month of endless job searching and interviews Casey has a job! (As long as he passes the background check and drug test, which I am not worried about). He will be working at Go Wireless which is a Verizon dealer. :) He is pretty excited and it is definitely a relief to not be unemployed anymore! We have been really fortunate to have family that was willing to help us out and we just kept having faith that something would work out. I figure if you just keep doing what is right something will eventually roll your way! There are blessings that come your way when you are doing what is right. :) I also have a job interview on Tuesday! I am really excited for it and hope that I can get a job for the summer as well! It would be great to have 2 incomes for a few months before I drop back into school mode and can't work anymore. I don't want to talk about it too much though...i'm afraid I will jinx myself! I got an e-mail back from my 4th grade teacher that I will be working with for student teaching and it helped to get me pumped for student teaching! Those of you who talked to me a lot during my Level 3 experience know it wasn't that great at reminding me why I love teaching. It was just a tougher semester than I have had in the past. Hearing from my teacher made me really excited to get back to teaching and being in a classroom again! I also went and saw the school the other day and LOVE it...it's one of the newer ones in Kaysville, so I am excited about that. I guess my 4th grade class has at least 34 students in it! Can you believe that!? That's a lot of kids in one class! But I am excited anyways! Things are looking up at the King house :)

STUDENT TEACHING PLACEMENT!

I got my student teaching placement today! I will be teaching 4th grade for the first block and 3rd grade for the second block! I am pretty excited :) I haven't ever done anything in 3rd or 4th grade, so it will be a fun experience I think! I am teaching at a school that is just up the street from where we live, so that is going to be great as well! :)

Pictures! :)

My friend Lyndsay has been asking for pictures of our new place, so I decided to stop being a slacker and take some! They aren't fabulous pictures, but they do their job I guess. This is the entryway of our apartment :) Part of the living room/office... we are used to having a 2 bedroom place, so going to a 1 bedroom has been an adjustment! The office side of the living room :) The bathroom..well part of it anyways hahaha The kitchen :) The mirror/dresser in our bedroom...it's still a little messy! The wall opposite the mirror in our bedroom :) The bed and big bay window in the bedroom :) My mother in law bought me some pretty flowers/plants for my flower pot out on our patio! Hopefully I won't kill them... I don't do very well with flowers! :) In other news...Darla is officially an Aggie! We had to register her in Utah this past week, so she had to let her Arizona plate go :( but at least she gets to have the Aggie plates now! And...I really want to go to Mesa in July... I was looking at Allegiant Air ticket prices and Casey & I could be in Arizona for 10 days and be able to spend 4th of July with our Arizona side and go to my friend Kristopher's wedding...their ticket prices are fabulous because we would fly out of Idaho Falls and fly in to Mesa instead of Sky Harbor in Phoenix...Hopefully we can go if Casey can get a job soon! I love Arizona :)

And we're here!!!

Well we have been here for about 4 days, but we just got our internet set up today! I am SO glad. We have almost everything where it is going to go...it's pretty much just finishing up decorating and such now. I must say I hate moving and hope to not do it for a while. I am still trying to get used to living in Layton. I'm not used to having people and cars and freeways everywhere. Going from Pocatello to Logan wasn't much of a shock, but going from Logan to Layton has been different. I keep thinking that we are just on vacation and that we will go back to Logan, but we won't. I'm used to living basically in the mountains where you don't hear anything at night...well we fall asleep to the sounds of the freeway now. Kinda crazy, but overall it isn't too bad. I applied for a job at a daycare tonight, so hopefully I will be hearing back from them to go interview soon. If you know me in the summer or really any season, I get cabin fever HORRIBLY bad if I don't have something to do, so I am hoping to find a summer job. Starting Memorial Day I will be able to go to the pool with my mother in law, sister in law Amy, and nephew Peyton pretty much anytime I want, so that will also be good. I'm hoping to get a decent tan this summer from all of the swimming! I am also on the lookout for a new Zumba class...I loved Tennille's class in Logan, so I think it's gonna be hard to find one that compares! I am going to go look at a gym tomorrow to see what their Zumba classes are like and prices and stuff. Hopefully I will find something good! Casey is still job searching and applying for jobs, so we are crossing our fingers for a good job to come along soon. We went to our new ward for the first time on Sunday and it was definitely different than any ward we have ever been too before, but there are lots of opportunities to serve which is what we want, so we are excited to be in a new ward! Overall things are going well here... I will post pictures soon! Oh and in other news...still no student teaching placement! Hopefully I will know by the end of the month!

Goodbye Logan...

Well, it's official. We are moving TOMORROW! I have been so excited to move and get out of here the past few weeks, but now I am sad. I had my last final on campus today and it's just crazy that my time as a Utah State student is almost over. It seems like just yesterday that I was being dropped off by my mom, grandma, and sisters as an 18 year old freshman who had no idea how to live on my own and now I am going to be student teaching and getting a real job...the time really has flown! Logan will always have a special place in my heart and I will ALWAYS be an Aggie. I am even getting my Aggie license plates for my car next week...have to represent down there in Weber and Ute country! I am happy, sad, excited, nervous, and many more emotions about moving, but I know this is the move we are supposed to make now. So on to the next chapter in our lives we go... I have a feeling it's gonna be GREAT!
