Practicum & Updates

Tomorrow is the end of my second week of practicum...it sure has been a ride. The first week was a lot worse than this week because the kids had no respect for me at all, but this week they are starting to like me :) I have been busy teaching kids lessons and I am moving 100 miles a minute all day long. Then I come home and have to write lessons and stuff...needless to say I am always busy! It is really giving me an idea of what it's going to be like to be a teacher full time. I am pretty sure my first year is going to be spent living in my classroom. I already told Casey he will have to come study at school while I plan lessons so that I can still see my sweet husband. I am so lucky to have him in my life...he is so supportive and never complains that I am so busy. He is just great! This week I have been teaching the kids about biographies and we have been writing our own about Dr. Seuss. The kids totally fell in love with Dr. Seuss, so we are going to have a Dr. Seuss read-a-thon tomorrow where we read Dr. Seuss books. I am excited for that. It's always great when a lesson you teach makes that kind of impact on the kids! It made my day when the kids came back from the library and were so excited to tell me that they got Dr. Seuss books. :) Casey and I only have about 6 weeks left until we move...we are still apartment hunting... we are going to call the apartment we really liked this weekend to see if they have any apartments available, and if they don't we are going to continue to search. Apartment hunting really is NO fun! It's kinda crazy that we are almost through with our life in Logan. It's a bitter sweet moment...we are moving to the next phase in our lives. I'm excited for it...It's time for me to start working and for Casey to go to school :)
