Friends...or the lack there of....
This may be the case with just me, but do any of you other married people out there feel like when you got married all of your friends like disappeared and stopped talking to you? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE CASEY and he is my best friend and he is my favorite person to hang out with, but I really just want some friends too! I mean I guess it is partly my fault since most of my friends were guys in high school/college, but really GUYS is it too much to ask for you to still be my friend!? I have friends who have come home from missions and won't talk to me anymore...friends who come home and still live in a high school fantasy land where we end up together in the end even though I am married...why can't I just have friends who want to be my friend? And why don't I have very many girl friends? I think i'm a pretty nice girl, but I just don't have any friends to hang out with...

Don't worry, you're not alone. That is exactly how we feel. I was lucky to keep one friend/room mate from college but other than that, there is no contact. We should have spent more time together in Logan. I am missing it too. We're coming out in October. Maybe we can get together? =]

ReplyDeleteAshley! I know exactly what you mean. I had a ton of guy friends too and I try to talk to them and tell them they need to meet Lucas and James but they are all weirded out..It's pretty annoying. So Yeah, You can always call us up if you are in Poky. We're loads of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I felt like that. I still do and we have been married for over 3 years. What has really helped me is reaching out to others because I discovered that most people don't really reach out.
ReplyDeleteashley. i totally understand. especially about your old guy friends acting like totally weirdys around you now. amen, sista. it is really hard to find a fun couple to hang out with in poky too. ugh.
ReplyDeleteum. you up and moved away to logan. :) jk. I feel both ways sometimes both as in somedays I feel like I don't have friends who want to hang out with me, other days I feel like I have so many to see and my husband doesn't want to go see any of them so I feel alone that way too...
