Utah State vs. BYU

Casey & I took a little trip down to Provo last night to watch the Utah State/BYU football game. I have definitely missed football and can honestly say that I am happy that I went to the game. We were ahead the ENTIRE game and then in the last 11 seconds BYU made this huge touchdown and ended up beating us 27-24. You could just feel the hearts breaking in the stadium. It was horrible. Even though we lost it was an amazing game. Both teams played a good game. If we would have just taken the field goal instead of doing a trick play in the 4th quarter I believe we could have come out on top, but unfortunately that didn't happen. One highlight from the game: EVERYONE was wearing AGGIE Blue... since BYU decided to steal our colors it looked like everyone was cheering on Utah State. It was nice. :) As if copying our colors wasn't enough, BYU also does a move VERY similar to what we do in the Scotsman...come on BYU, where's your originality?

We left from Kaysville at 3:30 and didn't get to the stadium until about 6:10. There were cars EVERYWHERE!

Here comes my venting for a minute:

Dear BYU fans (not all of you-just the ones to whom this applies),

I don't agree with you when you say that Utah State isn't a rival team. If we aren't rivals why would you storm your field after you beat us in the last 11 seconds? Don't be such poor sports. Stand up and acknowledge that Utah State can actually play football and you were all shaking in your shoes thinking you were going to get beat AGAIN by someone in this state (need I bring up the Utah game)? Don't tell me that BYU just wanted to give the spectators a "good game" and that they took it easy on us the whole game. That's a bunch of bull. You even had the refs on your side and we were ahead until the last 11 seconds. Eat a piece of humble pie.
