Here I am on Thursday the 14th (36 weeks 1 day) with the little man. We went to a doctors appointment on Thursday and I got to do the lovely Group B Strep test and get checked for the first time. I am 1cm dilated and 80% effaced. The baby is head down, but he definitely hasn't dropped...still living in my ribs...OUCH! Dr. Sumsion says I am right where I should be, so that's good news. I will say though...the whole getting checked thing is not a pleasant experience and I will be happy for the day that my business is once again mine and doesn't have people all up in it all the time haha. We go to the doctor weekly from now on and the little man should be here within 3 1/2 weeks! CRAZY! This pregnancy has flown by...I can't even believe it!
Thursday, one of the secretaries came in to my room and said that I was needed by the assistant principal. It was all a diversion to get me out of the room so that my students could decorate it and do a little mini baby shower...it was too cute. A few of them gave me gifts...it was very sweet of them to think of me and the baby. :) I ended up taking Friday off... I couldn't handle the stress any longer and needed a mental health day...even though I was busy the entire day and there really was not much of a break, it was still nice to have the day off. I am also glad I don't work tomorrow.
I had my Poky Baby Shower on Saturday! It was all "little man" themed and had bow ties and mustaches everywhere. My sister Aubri and my mom did such a great job and it was an adorable shower. We were definitely spoiled! We got our car seat and stroller, car seats covers, nursing things, clothes, a necklace from my step mom, diapers, wipes, blankets, toys...all sorts of things! The baby's room is definitely beginning to look more and more like a baby is going to be moving into it soon. There is still a ton to do, but it is gradually getting more and more full! He is definitely a loved little man and will not have a shortage of people who will love him and want to help take care of him. I just want to thank Aubri & my mom for all of the work that they put into my shower and for the love that went into everything that they did. I feel so fortunate to have such an amazing family that loves and supports me no matter what.
As the days go on, I am feeling more and more overwhelmed. There is too much to do and not enough time to do it in...not sure how i'm going to get it all done, but oh well. Just have to take it a day at a time I guess!

I am glad you took all of these pictures because I literally didn't even take one!! I can't believe you're having him so soon! Crazy.
